History

1996-2001
  • The Bank is established at the initiative of the Czech Government
  • The Bank’s operations are primarily aimed at intensifying cooperation with companies engaged in trade and economic relationships between Russia and the Czech Republic, with the Bank keeping a low profile in the Russian financial market
  • A representation of FRCB is opened in Prague, Czech Republic
2002
  • A major Russian company OAO Stroytransgaz becomes a shareholder in the Bank with 50% interest, with the deal consummated in December 2002
2003
  • All licenses to operate in the stock market are obtained, and the Bank becomes a member of the Russian largest stock exchanges RTS and MICEX; treasury operations are intensified; the Bank becomes a significant player in the stock and inter-bank markets
  • The Bank becomes a member of Visa International, issues its first plastic cards and installs its first ATM
  • Two additional offices are launched. Key divisions of the Bank move to its office building at Novocheremushkinskaya street.
  • Extensive growth of all financial performance indicators of FCRB, including a considerable increase in capital. FCRB enters Top 30 of Russian banks in terms of capital size
2004
  • Key efforts of the year are aimed at creating and expanding the Bank’s client base and a full range of banking products and services
  • Growth of all indicators: loan portfolio size grows by 2.4 times over the year; stock portfolio, by 2.0 times; net profit, by 7.0 times (as per IFRS statements)
  • Active involvement in international business: a financing agreement is signed with the Czech Export Bank; agreements are signed with export insurance agencies KUKE, HERMES, SACE, with the trade finance business increased twofold
2005
  • The Bank is admitted to the deposit insurance system
  • A new Dmitrovskiy office is launched
  • In December FCRB is awarded the National Bank Award as Foreign-Invested Bank with the Best Contribution to Development of Russian Economy established by the Association of Russian Banks

  • The Bank obtains the license for realization of banking activities in the European Union zone
  • A representative office of PCHRB is launched in Bratislava, Slovak Republic
  • The Bank receives accreditation of Export Development Canada
  • The Bank expands a range of services: now our clients can refund taxes by Premier Tax Free checks through Bank cash desks
  • FCRB and bank Ceska Sporitelna a.s., Prague, sign the Memorandum of cooperation
  • Rating agency Moody's Investors Service confirms a credit rating under long-term and short-term deposits in national and a foreign currency validated in 2007
  • Traditionally bank actively participated in exhibitions and charitable actions
2009
  • The bank became a member of MasterCard Worldwide and now offers the clients plastic cards of this international payment system
  • Agency Moody's Investors Service has once again confirmed the international ratings appropriated on June, 18th, 2007 under long-term and short-term deposits in national and a foreign currency
  • In Prague, the Czech Republic affiliated bank FCRB - the Evropejsko-Russian Bank is opened
  • The bank has expanded a spectrum of services – clients have an opportunity to make on-line demands for a site on carrying out of cash currency-exchange operations with the Czech crones
  • FCRB has started system of Remote Bank Service "Client-bank" with the new possibilities providing simplicity and convenience of management by document circulation
