European-Russian Bank

On 18 April 2008 the Czech National Bank issued a permit to FCRB to open a subsidiary bank in the Czech Republic. On 15 July of the same year Joint-Stock Company Bank of International Cooperation was registered in the trade register of the City of Prague. In March 2009 the bank was renamed to Joint-Stock Company European-Russian Bank.

FCRB is the first and so far the only Russian bank to have received a new banking license in the EU. The license authorizes it to perform the wide range of banking operations, and to open branches in any EU country subject to respective notice.

The registered capital of the European-Russian Bank totals CZK 600m.

On 17 April 2009 European-Russian Bank opening ceremony took place in Prague. Roman Yakubovich  Popov is elected the Chairman of the Management Board of ERB, jsc since May 12 2009.

The priorities of the European-Russian Bank are:

  • Financing Czech exports to the Russian Federation
  • Settlement operations, including in Russian roubles

  • Conversion operations
